Crossing the Data Chasm
Here's a prelude to what I’m calling -> Crossing the Data Chasm
On one side we have a set of CX data sources (CCaaS, CRM, Conversional AI, Transcripts, NLP, etc). Most of these provide either siloed reporting tools and/or APIs to extract the data.
On the other side of the chasm, we have a growing number of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) as well as a new host of data consumers (machine learning models, data science tools, IVAs).
The problem is: the people on the left that have the skills to extract the data from APIs lack the context of the data and how it's used to make business decisions, and the people on the right lack the skills to extract the data and transform it into something useful.
The chasm in the middle is filled with a myriad of vendors for ELT/ETL, data orchestration, CDPs, data warehousing and governance but the expense and complexity of integration and implementation leaves the true power of data out of reach to most organizations.
Thus users are mostly still stuck using whatever crippled reporting tool the vendor provides.
How do you solve for this today?
