Yes, AI is going to replace jobs
AI is no different than any other software introduced over the last several decades to make us humans more efficient
Anyone whom suggests that AI is not replacing jobs either isn't paying attention or is pandering to the status quo. The entire point of AI is to replace human work or to at least make it more efficient, which of course then requires fewer humans to do the same amount of work...
That being said, AI is no different than any other software introduced over the last several decades to make us humans more efficient. This phone image is what Telemarketing looked like when I started in the industry 31 years ago, and everyone was nervous about the introduction of the "Predictive Dialer" making us "do more work" or "eliminate agents". Which, as it turns out, the new efficiencies in the market led to an explosion in the industry that led to more job creation. Same narrative for tech like CTI, WFM, virtualization, etc...
The point -> yes AI is replacing jobs but its currently obfuscated by a "labor shortage", and soon we won't think of it as AI but rather just "software" that made us more efficient and led to more investment and job growth.
